CORNFIELD ANNUALS

DESCRIPTION
A Wild Flower mixture of native origin as sown by the professionals. For optimum appearance, and a greater ratio of flowers to grass, use sowing rate as directed.
SUITABILITY
Ideal for the gardener who is looking to create colour in the first year.
WILD FLOWER SPECIES USED
Corn Cockle, Corn Flower, Corn Marigold, Corn Poppy , White Campion & Corn Chamomile.
GRASS SPECIES USED
Red Fescue, Crested Dogstail, Sheeps Fescue, Browntop Bent & Smooth Stalk Meadow Grass.
SOWING DATES
Sowing can take place throughout most of the year, providing a good tilth can be prepared, however the months of March/April and August/September are generally the most suitable.
SOWING RATES
For mixtures with grass sow at a rate of 5g per sq. metre.
MAINTENANCE:
CORNFIELD ANNUALS
Make the first cut in early March and a second cut once the flowering period is over - September/October. Harrow Autumn or Spring to regenerate annuals.
